Framing Honest Participants In A Fault Tolerant Group Key Agreement Protocol

Abstract
Recently, Zhao et al. proposed an efficient fault tolerant group key agreement protocol.In this paper, we show that the fault detection technique of their protocol has a security flaw. We prove that a malicious member of the group can easily frame an honest participant such that when the fault detection is executed, then the honest member will be marked malicious and get excluded while the malicious participant can remain in the group.
