Abstract : In recent years, the data generated in the world has been increasing extremely. The size of the produced data is called big data. The dairy produced in distance education is increasingly high today. In this study, the size of the data required to be stored in a distance education system was examined. This data has been explained with the classical data management tools and solution proposal is presented. It has been revealed that big data in distance education system should be solved with distributed file system and NoSQL systems. Keywords - Distributed File System, Distance Education, Learning Management System, Big Data, NoSQL
