Abstract : The objective of this work is to analyze the outcomes of adopting an e-sourcing system by a leading oil and gas company in the UAE. E-sourcing is the process of obtaining bids from different suppliers via a single online portal. Esourcing improves the performance of the procurement, contract and inventory (PCI) team. In this work, we focus on the difference between company performances and spend before and after using e-sourcing system. The goal of this comparison is to highlight the added value and the importance of e-sourcing system in saving money and its effect on the supply chain as a whole. The statistics assert that the adoption of e-sourcing system is so important. Such positive payoff is manifested in maximizing the suppliers’ added value and increasing the transparency and efficiency of the sourcing process. On top of that, the overall end-users satisfaction has been achieved over a short period of the system operation. Nonetheless, some issues were reported and eventually, BravoSolution, the e-sourcing provider promised to address such issues and resolve them through coordination with the client.
