Abstract : Abstract – Block chain technology based first crypto currency Bitcoin is one of the most famous and actively traded crypto currency and has set the benchmark for other crypto currencies. Block chain technology has been revolutionary and been constantly evolving while finding novel applications across wide range of domains. Many times termed as the future of all modern trade, crypto currencies as general and Bitcoin in particular show little logic in terms of their value and as a result, huge fluctuations in bitcoin price are not uncommon. In this paper we first take an in depth look at the advancement in the Block chain technology. Secondly we propose a model for predicting Bitcoin exchange price Vis a Vis US Dollar with primary aim of enabling better planning and understanding of Bitcoin price movements.
