Paper Title
Effect of The Lime’s Rate on Clay Soils Stabilization

Abstract
The variation of water content in the soil due to the alternation dryseason / rainy season potentially puts the puffed clay in a volumetric instability. The result is often severe cracks on buildings, roads, dams... To reduce or indeed fight against this phenomenon, several solutions have been proposed such as the supply of construction materials in the soil. In this work we propose to use lime, an experimental laboratory study was conducted on a reconstituted soil from basic materials (clay, bentonite) clearly show that the addition of a small percentage of lime soil increases substantially soil resistance and significantly decreases the swelling nature of the latter. This conclusion is fully justified by the experimental planning of laboratory tests carried out. Key words- Soil-Stabilisation; Lime; Expansive clay; cohesion; friction; optimum; compressibility.
