Paper Title
Potential and Constraints of Rice Farming in Tidal Swamp Land

Abstract
Sub-optimal land has the potential to be developed as agricultural land, especially rice plants. Agricultural land in Central Kalimantan reached 3,709,887 ha, of which arable land for the cultivation of rice is 646 379 ha (17.4%). Land potential in the form of tidal swamp, freshwater swamp/lebak, and peat, dry land and irrigated land nonfunctional. Constraints to be faced are land productivity, farmer education, cropping index is still low, the infrastructure is still inadequate, pest attack is high. The application of technological innovation and the quality of human resources (HR) and institutional support is an opportunity in the development of sub-optimal land.
