Synthesis, Characterization and Biological Evaluation of Novel Triazolo- and Tetrazolopyrimidines
2-Hydrazinyl-4,6-diphenylpyrimidine was used as an excellent precursor for the synthesis of a new heterocyclic compounds such as 9, 11, 13, 15, 20, 22 and 23. The compounds were characterized on the basis of IR, 1H-NMR, mass spectral data and elemental analysis. The newly synthesized compounds were screened for their anticancer activity against MCF-7 cell line (breast carcinoma). Some of these compounds revealed that they possess highly significant activity. Also, the synthesized compounds have been evaluated for their in vitro antibacterial and antifungal activities.
