Campus Natural Disaster Reduction System and Crisis Management Strategy in Taiwan

Abstract
Disaster education is one of the responsibilities of schools. Many schools are used as shelters for disaster evacuation in Taiwan, and protecting students is the priority. A crisis management system for providing a safe campus is challenging for educators and the government. The purpose of this study was to investigate the progress and implementation of campus crisis management for natural disaster reduction in Taiwan. A campus disaster risk management system involves knowing the types of disasters, analyzing potential disasters, setting up crisis consciousness, organizing campus disaster reduction, implementing emergency response measures, and building a campus disaster risk management system in schools. Its aim is to develop a standard operation procedure for disaster risk management and implement disaster education on campuses.
