Abstract : A study of mixed convection boundary layer flow embedded in a porous medium filled with a nanofluid along a vertical cylinder is performed in this study. The governing system of partial differential equations is transformed into a system of ordinary differential equations by similarity transformation method. The equations are then solved numerically by shooting technique method for three types of nanoparticles namely Cu (copper), Al2O3 (aluminium) and TiO2 (titanium). Dual solutions are observed in a certain range of parameter and regarding on this, we then performed a stability analysis to identify which solution is stable between these two. Finally, the features of respective solutions have been discussed in detail. Index Terms - Mixed convection, boundary layer, vertical cylinder, stability analysis, dual solutions
