Abstract : India's health-care sector is in crisis. Though government programmes have tamed some infectious diseases, the country's performance on many health metrics is poor. The majority of people in India live in rural areas yet the eye health workforce is largely concentrated in urban areas. In India the rural areas are characterised by a lack of eye health and vision personnel and this is a significant contributing factor to the high prevalence of avoidable vision impairment and blindness. In conventional eye testing method the person is made to read a fixed set of characters of varying font size but the character arrangements are fixed so, many times the person is able to read the letter even though he can’t see it. This allows person to fake the test. The proposed system provides an effective, cheap and efficient method to test and rectify all major eye problems like Myopia (Nearsightedness), Hypermetropia (farsightedness), Color blindness and Nycatalopia (night blindness) and also monitors the time duration after putting the drops in the eye before testing. Keywords— Myopia, Hypermetropia, Color Blindness, Nycatalopia, Pupillary Dilation Test, Automation, Luminosity.
