Paper Title
Automatic Printed Part Removing System from 3D Printer
Abstract
This research project proposes an automatic printed part removing system from 3D printer used to handle defects
in the 3D printing system. The proposed system automatically removes the printed parts from the 3D printer, making the
entire printing process fully automated. The part removal system can be installed on various models of FDM (Fused
Deposition Modeling) 3D printers available on the market. The system incorporates a load cell for measuring the force
required to remove the printed parts. Experiments were conducted on PLA (Polylactic Acid) material with dimensions of
60x30x3mm at different angles: 0, 23, 45, 67, and 90 degrees. The results showed that an angle of 67 degrees was the most
suitable for efficiently removing the printed parts. As of now, the part removal system has been tested in real-world scenarios
with over 300 successful part removals, ranging from small parts with dimensions of 5x5x3mm to larger parts with
dimensions of 89.28x100x20mm, achieving a success rate of 98.11%.
