Abstract : The concept of Quick Response (QR) code is very useful in wireless data transmission between handheld electronic devices. In a typical setup, for transmission of Data on a cell phone, can be transferred to a second cell phone through a series of barcode images on the LCD which are then captured and decoded through the camera of the second cell phone. In this, a new approach for data modulation DPSK-OFDM is introduced, and its performance is evaluated to compare with other standard methods of barcode modulation. OFDM uses orthogonal subcarrier and confine image blur & minimizes the Bit Error Rate. OFDM modulation is performed using DFT. Index Terms— QR code, OFDM, DPSK, DFT, BER.
