Paper Title
A Comparative Analysis Study: Open Data Concepts in Smart Cities

Abstract
This paper reviews several researches conducted in the field of smart city, in an effort to provide a better understanding of open data concepts in smart cities. In general, smart city can be defined as an urban environment that utilizes Internet of Things (IoT) sensors and other related technologies that connect components across a city to increase the performance and the quality of services. There is no specific term provided to define smart cities. Besides, the development of smart cities requires every information to be accessible by citizens (known as “open data”) but there must be a guideline to follow on what kind of information should be publicized or not, depending on the sensitivity of the open data itself. The paper closes with several ways forward to protect and secure the information as to balance security and privacy in open data. Keywords- Internet of Things (IoT), Open Data.
