Paper Title
Effect of Boron Nanoparticle Impregnation Using Plasma Nitriding on Hardness and Surface Roughness of SAE52100 Steel

Abstract
Abstract - This paper describes the impregnation of boron nanoparticles on seven different samples of the bearing material SAE 52100. The investigation is done in the view to improve the surface properties of SAE52100 steel. Plasma nitriding was performed. The testing cycle took total 10 hours. The chamber pressure was kept constant at 2 bar at 480 degrees Celsius and 700-860 volts DC current. The Boron Nitride nanoparticles had a size of 70nm. Micro hardness is one of the surface properties that has improved. Various SEM images also revealed that boron is impregnated in the surface of the bearing steel.
