Paper Title
Web-Based Learning in Primary School: Praxeological Analysis of Arithmetic for Early Algebra Education
Abstract
Teaching early algebra into the elementary grades will better prepare students to learn algebra. Teaching
materials must facilitate students in this regard, including technology-based teaching materials in this case web base learning.
This study aims to describe the characteristics of web-based learning (math is fun.com) on a more specific topic, namely
arithmetic concepts reviewed in praxeology (T, , 𝜽 dan Θ). The research data is limited to the topic of arithmetic, ignoring
other material as part of the depth study. As an alternate technique, qualitative research using a hermeneutic
phenomenological perspective was adopted. This research is a prospective analysis of all Indonesian versions with a didactic
research design. The data shows the uniqueness that characterizes the quality of web-based learning. The stages of the types of
assignments T1 to T9 have good stages in building students' algebraic operations concepts. This can be seen from the initial
concrete concept through the addition of two objects which are then replaced with semi-concrete numbers in the final project.
However, in some cases, the process of introducing addition operations using objects that are converted into numbers can
lead to multiple interpretations in further algebra. This web-based learning praxeology study provides a new perspective on
how task design plays an important role in making the presentation of material more acceptable to students.
