Paper Title
Effects of Repeated Earthquakes on Rectangular Concrete Tanks

Abstract
The effects of repeated earthquakes on rectangular reinforced concrete tanks are examined in this research study. The structure support conditions are considered in this study where flexible elastic supports are assumed considering soil-structure interaction phenomena. A comparison between single and multiple earthquakes for the behavior and capacity of rectangular reinforced concrete tanks is investigated. The finite element method using a homemade finite element program is applied to investigate the inelastic response of rectangular tanks under seismic time-history analysis. An adequate number of seismic sequences are involved in this paper to achieve trustworthy results and to confirm their validity. It is concluded that multiple earthquakes lead to a more critical response in comparison with single earthquakes.
