Enhancing ICT Skills in Government Offices: A Case Study of Chandigarh Administration

Abstract
The rapid evolution of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has transformed global government operations. In this digital era, characterized by data-driven decision-making, proficient ICT skills among government employees are imperative. This paper delves into the impact of enhancing ICT skills in Chandigarh Administration, focusing on productivity, service quality, and governance implications. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach involving surveys, interviews, and performance data analysis, we evaluate the outcomes of ICT skill development programs across various regions. Our study gauges the extent to which enhanced ICT skills improve efficiency, effectiveness in administrative tasks, decision-making, and service delivery. Additionally, we explore challenges encountered during skill enhancement initiatives and suggest mitigation strategies. Our findings indicate a positive link between improved ICT skills and increased productivity among government employees.
