Paper Title
A Case Study On Economic Viability Of A Stand-Alone And Grid Connected Generation System For Mumbai

Abstract
Penetration of renewable energy system for generation of electrical energy is fast growing on account of depletion of fossil fuels and environmental constraints. But the cost of a stand-alone system with respect to the load is the main obstacle. This paper presents a comparative case study of a stand-alone and grid connected Renewable energy system for a community in Mumbai India. WGS and SPVG are considered as the viable renewable resources for the location under study. Cost and Sizing analysis has been performed for both stand-alone and grid connected system using HOMER software. The results have been presented for both cases to bolster the conclusion of the paper. Keywords— Hybrid Energy Renewable System, Stand-Alone, Grid Connected, HOMER, Cost Analysis.
