Paper Title
Study on Flexural Behaviour of Simply Supported Beam Made of Functionally Graded Materials

Abstract
Abstract: Functionally graded materials are those in which the volume fractions of two or more materials are varied continuously as a function of position along certain dimension(s) of the structure to achieve a required function. The material properties of the beam vary continuously in the thickness direction according to the power law form. A mathematical model has been developed using the principle of minimum potential energy for the deflection curve of a simply supported beam made of functionally graded material. Maximum deflection curve of uniformly loaded simply supported beam using the above mathematical model is determined.
