Paper Title
Simulation For Sensorless Speed Control Of A Dc Motor Drive

Abstract
This paper describes the design and testing of sensorless speed control technique for a separately excited DC motor. The motor speed is calculated from input voltage and stator current. A speed loop with a proportional plus integral controller maintains the desired speed irrespective of the supply voltage and load variations on the motor. An inner current control loop is used to improve the time response of the system. This loop will overcome the effect of disturbances such as variations in the supply voltage. The design aspects of the sensorless control loops are discussed, and simulation results in Matlab Simulink platform validate effectiveness of the method.
