Article Citation :Pranav Gupta ,Sukanya Dubey ,Muzheir Ahmed , (2022 ) " Conceptual Design and Sizing of a Fixed Wing UAV for Emergency Medical Supply " , International Journal of Mechanical and Production Engineering (IJMPE) , pp. 12-19, Volume-10,Issue-6

Abstract : Abstract - This paper presents and assesses the conceptualization of a fixed-wing UAV capable of carrying emergency medical equipment as its payload. The design of this UAV was done keeping in mind the time-sensitive nature of its application and the possibility of being deployed in inaccessible areas. Special emphasis was given to the airfoil design enabling the aircraft to carry a maximum payload with minimal drag penalty; this was followed by comprehensive aerodynamic and stability analyses, ensued by selecting various electronic components required by the aircraft. The design methodology followed in this paper is iterative and follows the design spiral making the need for innovation apparent in nature. Detailed analysis of the aircraft was carried out on various software like XFLR5, CATIAv5, MATLAB etc., to highlight important aspects of the stability and durability of the aircraft. The research reveals that such UAV infrastructure is a need of the hour for the healthcare sector, and such technology is designed to save more human lives. Keywords - UAV, CFD, VLM, CVD, ECC, AED.
