Abstract : Abstract - The product surface roughness is a major factor to achieve good quality product and its function in manufacturing industries. Low surface roughness is important characteristics for quality products, low cost, minimum friction, maximum lubrication, and minimum wear. The objective of this research is to investigate experimentally the influence of cutting parameters such as; cutting speed, depth of cut, feed, and the usage of coolant. The experimental results were collected and analyze don the surface roughness in turning operation, The relation between cutting parameter and surface roughness were determined and results show that the surface roughness is greatly influenced by the cutting parameters, cutting fluid, and cutting tools. The results obtained from this experiment shows that the surface roughness is decreased by increasing spindle speed and increased by increasing feed rate and depth of cut also the results show that the surface roughness for the turned components on the CNC machine was less than on the conventional machine using the same cutting parameters. Keywords - Surface Roughness, Cutting Speed, Feed Rate, Cutting Coolant, CNC Machine.
