Abstract : This study investigates the characteristics and production process of nanocellulose derived from waste materials, aiming to explore its sustainable and cost-effective utilization. Various production methods are examined, including mechanical, chemical, and enzymatic processes. This study endeavors to investigate the characteristics of the material and its production process, specifically derived from waste materials, to explore its sustainable and cost-effective utilization. The research commences by identifying appropriate waste materials for nanocellulose production. Material characteristics of the produced nanocellulose are analyzed through a comprehensive set of characterization techniques, including Modulus of Elasticity, Tensile Strength, Density, Crystallinity and Thermal Stability. Next, the production process is examined, encompassing mechanical, chemical, and enzymatic methods for extracting cellulose fibers, and further processing them into nanocellulose. The results demonstrate that nanocellulose from waste materials possesses favorable characteristics and the production process is environmentally sustainable and economically viable. These findings contribute to the development of eco-friendly and cost-effective strategies for nanocellulose production, enabling its application in diverse fields.
