Abstract : Currently, the threat of global warming from carbon emissions endangers the lives of humans and other living organisms. The pressing issue of decreasing carbon dioxide (CO2) levels requires immediate attention. Consequently, electric vehicles (EVs) are increasingly being utilized in the automotive industry to reduce fuel consumption. The use of electric motors significantly impacts the performance of EVs. Recent studies demonstrate that the implementation of switched reluctance motors (SRMs) enhances the efficiency of electric cars.In recent studies, the utilization of switched reluctance motors (SRMs) has shown promise in enhancing the efficiency of electric vehicles. Therefore, this study is centered on evaluating the performance of SRMs. Despite the numerous advantages of SRMs, torque ripple remains a downside. To address this issue, direct-torque vector control is implemented for motor management. In this investigation, direct-torque control (DTC) is applied to the SRM in the NEVERA TECH EV car. Various scenarios including speed acceleration, deceleration, and torque fluctuations are analyzed for performance evaluation using MATLAB/Simulink. Keywords - Carbon Emission, Electric Vehicles (Evs), Matlab/Simulink, Motor, Ripple, Speed, Torque
