Automatic Steering Control By Detecting Barrier Obstacle

Drowsy driving is the major problem seen throughout the world. This usually happens when the driver has not slept enough. Falling asleep at the wheel is clearly dangerous, but being sleepy affects your ability to drive safely even if you don’t fall asleep. This state of mind may lead to accidents. To minimize accidents due to driver error, distractions and drowsiness. Our project helps driver to keep him alert by giving an alarm. This Project keeps record of the lane on roadways and whenever vehicle crosses the lane or move out the lane, steering of the vehicle is automatically controlled. Image processing is used to detect the lane. Taking lane as the reference, if vehicle crosses the lane, a signal is sent to give an alarm to driver and control the steering of the vehicle.
