Abstract : Disasters are often known for their catastrophic effects on both nature and mankind. With technologies thriving from every corner, the new-age world has progressed to significantly produce deployable solutions that can immensely contribute in case of emergencies. This paper presents some of the tech-savvy ideas from global contributors that are domain-specific to disaster management and recovery arising from the innovative fields of the Internet of Things, Application Development, and Artificial Intelligence. This paper also contains a brief description of some of the solutions to tackle unpredictable events, in specific, disasters with the tools and technologies used in the respective methodologies which can prove key to facing situations before, during, and after disasters aiding for better preparation, planning, and recovery.
