Abstract : The need for alternative resources for a range of engineering applications has increased as a result of rising concerns in academic circles and environmental circles about goods made from fossil fuels. Among these are lubricants, which make up a sizable portion of fossil fuel products and are widely used in a variety of industrial applications. Significant expenditures are made annually in their development. As a result, it is now difficult to find and use substitute, ecologically friendly lubricants that can meet industrial demands and take environmental concerns into account. The main emphasis now is on investigating vegetable oils as possible replacements for lubricants derived from fossil fuels. In the current work, sunflower oil created from vegetable oils and soybean oil, which may be used to manufacture a biodegradable lubricant, are investigated for their effects on the wear and frictional properties related to adhesive wear.
