Abstract : This research explores the potential of electric vehicle (EV) retrofitting as a solution to reduce pollution and
promote sustainable transportation. By converting traditional petrol scooters into electric ones, we aim to decrease emissions,
lower operating costs, and enhance public acceptance of EVs. The research involves developing a standardized EV
retrofitting kit that can be installed in under two hours. A comprehensive market survey was conducted to assess the
feasibility and potential impact of this solution. Preliminary findings indicate significant cost savings and environmental
benefits compared to traditional petrol scooters.Reusing obsolete scooters in India that have outlived their Bharat Stage
regulations by more than 15 years is another significant goal of this study.
